We will be victorious

So the other day I get a call from sister Williams, she's the wife of our current institute director, bro. Williams.  She says that she has a question for me.  "Shoot", I say, to which she asks me how old I am.  26... "Oh that's almost perfect!"  For some reason I feel like this is going to be a set up, which isn't a bad thing mind you.  She then asks me if I can do a favor for her and of course I say yes.  Turns out it didn't have anything to do with a girl, but rather dressing up as Captain Moroni for her seminary class this past Monday.  I guess I have a knack for dressing up and acting like I'm someone else.  That or people are just used to me doing it.  Maybe I should've gone into a different field....
Despite not getting that extra hour or so of sleep, it was pretty fun.  I had to get parts of my costume from a co-worker (the roman centurion costume), a friend (the sword from mandy/nate) and various items from around the house as well as some sandals that Hollis refers to as "Jesus" sandals.  After I was done I saw my friend's mother, sister Lord.  She thought it was cool and asked if I could do it for her class as well later that week.  How on earth could you say no to someone who asks if you want anything to eat when it's close to midnight and then she cooks a whole meal?  Especially if she doesn't know you too well.  Oh and she offers you a pie of your choice too!
Sister Williams made me some cookies that were pretty good too.  I would've done both things just because, but I guess they think I need to gain some weight or something.

Another Girl, Another Planet

"Hair's like a woman. You treat it good and it treats you good...you gotta hold it, caress it, and love it. And if your hair gets outta line, you take a scissor and say, 'Hair, I'm gonna cut you!'"

Inspiration

I guess of all my uncles, I liked Uncle Cave Man the best.  We called him Uncle Cave Man because he lived in a cave and because sometimes he'd eat one of us.  Later on we found out he was a bear.

A long drive for someone with nothing to think about...

Well it's been a little bit once again and someone (cough, Kristi, cough) got after me for not blogging.  It's not my fault people don't try to talk to me every once in a while.

A few week ago I was invited to a random trip, at least for me it was, to Solvang, CA.  I hadn't been before so I thought it would be a good idea.  We were getting rain almost every day that week and going to Solvang didn't change anything.  Adam and I were sure to hit up all the important sites... aka all of the Bakeries in town.  Before we went back home we went to this waterfall that Adam knew of.  Not too shabby.

After we got back I had a polar bear party to go to.  The water this year wasn't too bad.  It was only a mere chilly 42 degrees.  Not too many people jumped this year, they were afraid of a little rain I guess.  I did get to write my name in the book of records yet again.  After that I scurried over to the ice rink for a YSA skating activity.  At times I wish I would've jumped when I saw a great deal on a pair of ice skates.  Ice skating sure is a lot better than running.  It's funny to see how people think you can skate really good just by wearing a hockey jersey, which of course I'm definitely not in need of.

The next day I went to the local hockey game courtesy of the succubuses they call players.  It was entertaining, I'll give them that.  It was also fun spending a bit of time with Tyler and his family.

I also had the chance to go see Avatar this past weekend.  After watching it I have renewed my desire to go back to the coast during the time when it is phosphorescent.  I don't remember where it was, or even what time of the year, but I'll go back to researching and finding out when/where I can go make a visit.

Now you are all updated on my life, enjoy.  I'll be sending you a bill in the mail.
